year. These stars are either auspicious or inauspicious according to
their innate qualities and timeliness. For period 8, the timely star is 8
which is the most prosperous whereas the future timely stars are 9
and 1. Certain stars are considered noble (6) and useful star (4). All
these stars bring different kind of luck to the sectors they fly into.
The untimely stars are 2, 3, 5 and 7 and they make the sectors they fly
into inauspicious through the manifestation of their evil nature. These
stars can cause problems to the residents if appropriate actions are
not taken to mitigate their negative effects.
Aside from the Annual Flying Stars, there are also Annual Afflictions to
be aware of. The following are the 3 afflictions for 2008 and the sectors
they occupy:-
Grand Duke Jupiter (Tai Sui) - North 2
Year Breaker - South 2
3 Killings - South 2
These afflictions are only activated if residents performed any
renovations in the sectors concerned such as knocking down walls,
digging the ground and other major repair work. These actions will
activate the stars and cause all types of misfortunes to befall the
residents. It is best to keep the place peace and quiet and if possible,
not occupied at all.
If it is necessary to use the sector or room having these stars, you
should not sit facing the Grand Duke nor having your back facing the
Year Breaker.
