| Myth#1 Feng Shui is a magical formula to make me rich, healthy and popular. Truth: Feng Shui can only help you to harness the positive energies in your environment but the effort to create wealth, health and relationship still lies with you. Myth#2 Feng Shui has magical cures in the forms of ornaments, trinkets or artifacts through precise placements of these objects in my living space. Truth: Feng Shui can help to harmonise the energies from nature within the limits of time, space and human activities. Made made objects are just psychological factors with limited curative effects. Myth#3 Feng Shui can protect me from harm and make me safe and secure. Truth: Feng Shui can be amazing if practised accurately but common sense should prevail as the need for self protection can only be fulfilled by modern technologies to which Feng Shui can compliment but not replaced. Myth#4 Feng Shui has religious connotations and seems to be culturally oriented. Truth: Feng Shui is neither religiously inclined nor culturally biased as it is an art and science of harnessing the Qi in your living environment to help you achieve your endeavours. Myth#5 Feng Shui is full of inconsistencies and contradictions. Truth: Feng Shui has many different schools and systems which were developed and synthesised by the ancient sages over the centuries through empirical research and experiential knowledge. As a result, there are different approaches in the practise of Feng Shui depending on which school or system is followed but they compliments one another. |
